Mirosław BANASIK – Assoc. Prof. in the discipline of security sciences, certified Colonel of the Polish Army, graduated from doctoral studies at the National Defence Academy in Warsaw and studies of defence policy from the NATO Defence Academy in Rome. He held several command and staff positions. He was, among others, Deputy of the Polish National Military Representative at the Headquarters of NATO Allied Forces in Europe, Head of the Crisis Management Centre of the Ministry of Defence and the Operations Centre of the Minister of National Defence. Currently employed as an university professor at the Institute of Security Sciences, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. His scientific output includes 14 monographs and over 100 scientific studies published in Poland and abroad. His research interests focus on issues related to national and international security, strategic planning, conducting new generation wars, crisis management and acquiring new operational capabilities.
